The 10 Faces of Callas

March 17, 2023

'The 10 Faces of Callas' was Teatro Grattacielo's tribute concert to the legendary Maria Callas at the Consulate General of Greece in NYC. Stephanie Rivero performed the arias 'Casta Diva' and 'In Quelle Trine Morbide.'

In a review from Opera Wire in reference to her delivery of 'In Quelle Trine Morbide,' "The aria’s tessitura necessitates confident high notes and polished phrasing, elements Rivero displayed."

In the same article, in reference to 'Casta Diva,' "The aria is one of the most famous and demanding in the operatic repertoire and requires technical virtuosity and emotional depth...she showed great control, bringing nuance, subtlety, and strength. She was authoritative in the lower range and very secure up top, where it felt as if there was no ceiling. Rivero brought heart and intention to a distinctly Callas aria."

Lyric Opera Studio Weimar

August, 2021

I made my German debut (and first fully staged opera debut!) in Weimar as Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte. Directed by Damon Nester Ploumis and conducted by Olaf Storbeck. I performed the role twice in this month-long opera intensive. The first performance was in Apolda, Germany, a sold-out show. My second performance was at our home theatre, Mon Ami. This experience was life changing and solidified my devotion to opera performance.

Antología de una ópera

January 18, 2022

This lovely evening of arias was hosted by the Centro Cultural de San Antonio, Chile. This is in the heart of my father's hometown. Here I met and sang with the talented la maestra Veronica Gomez and members of Centro Cultural's chorus. This was the first time my father and grandparents heard me sing opera repertoire live in concert. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to create art with new friends and share it with my beloved family.

La Gala de Danza por el 10° Aniversario
Escuela de Danza de Renato Montoya, Anticheo

December 30, 2021

This event was arranged by Renato Rafael Montoya, dance teacher and choreographer, a great friend who I met and am fortunate to have collaborated with. The gala was filmed and aired at the Museum of Natural History and History of San Antonio, Chile. I sang the famous Chilean folk song "Gracias a la Vida" by Violeta Parra. This song is very well-known and loved in the country of Chile. I was happy to interpret it with piano accompaniment and a classical vocal style. The gala was comprised of Chilean folk music and traditional Chilean dances, a tale of history and pride.
